Northshore Hamilton PDA – Development Scheme Amendment
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterShare on LinkedinEmail this link
The Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area (PDA) Development Scheme came into effect on 3 July 2009.
Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) has undertaken a review of the development scheme to ensure it continued to operate effectively as the overarching planning document for the PDA.
The scope of the review included examining:
the vision for the PDA to ensure it was contemporary and appropriate
land use and infrastructure planning to support the vision
development requirements in the development scheme to guide new development.
The review resulted in a proposed amendment to the development scheme and preparation of a draft Development Charges and Offset Plan (DCOP) that addresses the planning and funding of infrastructure required to service development in Northshore Hamilton.

The analysis of submissions received during the public notification period is ongoing. A diverse range of comments were made raising a variety of inter-related matters for both the proposed development scheme amendment and draft DCOP. Detailed consideration will be given to these matters.
Following the consideration of submissions the MEDQ will decide what changes, if any, will be made to the proposed development scheme amendment and draft DCOP prior to their adoption. It is anticipated that the amended development scheme will be considered for adoption in the second half of 2022.
